Hybrid, EV and ICE Air Conditioning & Heating Systems Training Course

Air conditioning and climate control are fundamental systems in every modern vehicle. Therefore, knowledge of diagnosis, service and repair is a vital part of the modern garages skillset. This course can teach you everything you need to know about AC for EVs, Hybrids and traditional Internal Combustion Engine (ICE) cars. Plus, it will teach you how to sell this service to your customers all year round.

Throughout this course, you’ll be taught the science behind Air Conditioning, how to service and repair AC and climate controls systems as well as the vital role AC has to play in the operation of EVs.

High voltage compressors which run independently of drive belts or internal combustion engines; complex, reversible heat pump systems; PTC heaters; high voltage ‘kettles’ for cabin heating; AC cooled battery packs are a few of the things you’ll learn.

 In terms of EVs everything is different and this is particularly true for Heating Ventilation and Air Conditioning Systems. There is a high degree of probability that your first encounter with an EV, apart from an MOT test, may be due to a fault in the air conditioning, climate control or cabin heating system, therefore, you need to be sure that you are equipped with the knowledge, skill and understanding of how the systems work. This is the intention of this training course.

During the training, you will be working with both 1234yf and 134a refrigerant systems, along a selection of modern vehicles, with state-of-the-art equipment, in a professional workshop, with master technician training instructors.
