This full size A4 book takes the reader through using an oscilloscope for automotive diagnostics. Oscilloscope Diagnostics takes the reader through getting to grips with this powerful method of diagnostic testing. Measuring Amps as well as Volts during a diagnostic routine will enable you to make quick accurate diagnostic decisions by testing and not guessing!

CAN you answer the following questions?

1) How do you identify a CAN enabled vehicle?
2) What fault would be indicated by a resistance of 0.6 O between CAN High and Can Low, and what symptom would be evident?
3) What voltage difference should you expect to see if the CAN is OK?
4) What should you do differently to accurately diagnose CAN vehicles?
5) How should the multi meter or oscilloscope be setup to diagnose the High Speed CAN?
6) Why do CAN vehicles have several different networks?
7) What is a CAN Gateway and how do you test it?

All these questions and more are answered in our latest publication. Full of 'need to know' information including case studies, test data, a trouble shooter flow chart and sample waveforms.

In failing electronic circuits, measuring Volts alone will give you only half the picture. Use your oscilloscope, voltage probe and low amps clamp to get the FULL picture.

The book has been written by a Diagnostic Expert who has been involved in diagnostics since the electronic revolution in the 80's.

It deals with real problems and real vehicles using straightforward language. The book contains sample waveforms with detailed descriptions as well as illustrations and diagrams.
CAN Bus has been fitted to production vehicles since the late 1990. It has been fitted to most vehicles sine 2004.

If you are facing electrical faults on modern vehicles, this book will help you understand what and where to measure.

CAN Test Box allows you to check out the network at the 16 pin EOBD Data Link Connector. Use a meter or a scope to see what's going on.

This item is very useful in checking to see it you have the baisc ingredients for scan tool communications, such as power, ground and communication activity. A real time saver.

You can also use this device to extend your scan tool connection lead, useful if your equipment is based on a roll cart or trolley.
Break Out Leads are where access to the component is difficult. Simply disconect the component and fit the Universal Break Out Lead.
These are available in four different sizes to suit the different pin and plug combinations. Each size is colour coded for easy identification.
Each Breakout Lead has a 4mm connector where you can attach your multimeter or oscilloscope.

The Breakout Lead is also ideal when you want to use a sensor simulator. You can leave the component Ground and Supply connected whilst you simulate the signal voltage.

The PICO oscilloscope test leads have been designed to make you life easier. These leads allow you to easily see which component the scope is connected to whilst you are testing. The extended lenght makes both road test and workshop testing really easy.

The leads are attached to the PICO scope by a unique design of BNC Bconnector which means that you can connect and disconnect one handed.

The leads are built using high quality color coded cable which is manufactured specifically for high speed scope testing. The signal quality of these leads is second to none.

At the vehicle end, the leads are fitted with stackble 4 mm industry standard piggy back connectors. You can stack back multiple ground leads to one ground point, and use voltage probes, current clamps etc.
