Common Rail Diesel Diagnostics - Course Details

Common Rail Diesel systems are now fitted by all of the major motor manufacturers. This course is aimed at enabling you to be confident in quickly and accurately diagnosing faults in the common rail diesel system. This course will take participants through the diesel and electrical sub-systems which together make up the electronic diesel control system.

Course Objective: By the end of this course participants will be able to use a variety of diagnostic tools to quickly and accurately diagnose faults on common rail diesel systems. You will have a detailed understanding of high and low pressure systems, sensors, actuators and diesel engine control strategies.

Who Should Attend: Workshop technicians who are, or would like to be involved with diesel vehicle diagnostics. To gain maximum benefit form this course attendees should have an understanding of basic electrical/electronic principles and ideally have attended either an ENGINE MANAGEMENT TRAINING course or an OSCILLOSCOPE DIAGNOSTICS course. You will probably have been using a scan tool, a graphing meter/scope and a fuel pressure gauge to make automotive system tests.

• Advances in diesel injection.
• Health, Safety and Environment.
• The high and low pressure circuits.
• Phases of injection.
• Sensors and Actuators.
• An effective diagnostic process.
• Typical faults and how to diagnose them.
• Analysing serial data stream.
• Common rail diesel and the oscilloscope.

The Cost for this one day course is £160 per person including refreshments, lunch, training materials and certificate of achievement.

Booking Conditions.
All training places must be paid for at the time booking. Training places cannot be reserved without payment being made.

Cancellation policy.
Cancellation 8 weeks prior to training event - 75% refund. Cancellation between 8 and 4 weeks prior to training event - 50% refund. If a training place is cancelled within 4 weeks of the training taking place no refund will be due.

Please note: We run a waiting list scheme and it is possible that we will be able to transfer your place and refund your entire course fee should you have to cancel.

We accept major credit cards over the telephone, or cheque or postal order. Your place is not guaranteed until your payment has cleared.
